These are autonomous units dedicated to the exchange of air at neutral temperatures (i.e. at the same temperatures present in the environment to be treated, both in summer and in winter) and its heat treatment.
Depending on the environmental conditions (external air and ambient extract air) the units can partially or totally cover the internal winter / summer loads, based on the characteristics of the building and its use.
